Google | Chrome Web Lab
Web lab was a groundbreaking, year-long exhibition, featuring five physical and online interactive Chrome Experiments that brought the extraordinary workings of the Internet to life. Inspiring the next generation of computer scientists and the world of the possibilities of the modern web. A first-of-its-kind online physical global museum experience.
Web Lab was a year in the making. The online exhibition was designed, tested and produced to withstand a year of continuous use 24 hours a day due to the fact it was open online at all times.
Every visitor to the exhibition, online and in the museum was represented by a Lab Tag: a visual code that can be scanned at each experiment to let users keep track of their activity and retrieve them once they were back home.
Universal Orchestra consisted of an eight piece orchestra that gave anyone across the world a chance to play the instruments, collaborate with others in the Science Museum and people around the world
Sketchbots gave everyone a chance to have their portrait drawn in the sand by a robot. Online you were able to take a photo of yourself and in real-time have your portrait drawn in the sand at the Science Museum London.
